Bach: The Well-Tempered Clavier (‘The 48’)
Libby Burgess piano
The Staffordshire ’48’ is hosted by Lichfield Cathedral School and MusicShare and is divided over three performances in two days. Come to the whole lot to hear the whole collection of preludes and fugues, or just come to one concert for a smaller dose of the magic of Bach.
Inspired by Bach’s own dedication of this music for ‘the musical youth’ and ‘those already skilled’, the project is supporting Help Musicians, Live Music Now, Future Talent and Youth Music: between them these charities help hundreds of thousands of musicians every year. As with all Project 48 performances, all proceeds go to these organisations.
Session 1: Friday 12 May, 7pm to 8.45pm
Session 2: Saturday 13 May, 2pm to 4.30pm
Session 3: Saturday 13 May, 6pm to 8.30pm
Per session: Adults £17.50, Children £10
All 3 sessions: Adults £35, Children £20 (3 for price of 2)
